This signature shows a weapon (spear) that is piercing through his past (the left side). Of special importance is that this ‘spear’ is tapered on the right hand side (the side of society) and while it starts in his past it lands in society (just like his crime). Overall, people who show weapons in their handwriting indicate they are able to harm people without remorse. Weapons are especially significant when combined with a signature as this indicates suicidal ideations. There are many places in this writing sample that are “sharp” and my personal rule is… “if it looks like it can hurt you – it probably can”. In approximately 2005 something occurred that has caused deep-seated resentment and that may have been a factor in his behavior. In addition, because the signature is illegible and has tangled letters, it shows someone who is self-protective and full of inner pain. The large space between his first and last name reveals a loner. His extremely tall letters indicate that he had an over-active imagination which is why he was good at writing stories. It appears that his pressure is very heavy and pasty which indicates he is extremely tense and “stressed out” but, even more so, was unable to control his urges (good or bad). His wide right margin indicates that he was apprehensive about the future and, the way the last letter of his last name just stopped suddenly (with no tapering exit flow) indicates that he was not at all planning on going into the future (suicidal). Finally, the way that the very last letter drops off the line indicates a high degree of fatalistic (suicidal) thoughts. Finally his vowels (communication letters) are completely closed and not recognized which indicates his lack of willingness to communicate (verbally or by listening). In my opinion nothing – not even psychiatric help – could have stopped him.
