...new skills with family members. By the age of 13 she knew she wanted to study forensic psychology and realized that handwriting analysis would be a strong ally to the psychology field. Upon graduating high school she closely tutored with Charles until he certified her. Shortly afterward Charles was diagnosed with cancer and passed away; the school closed due to lack of funding and anyone’s ability to run the school.
Since 1987 Treyce has worked diligently on teaching and helping others with the works of “Uncle Charlie”. Through the years she has been featured on many radio and television talk shows as well as in the written media. She is an internationally recognized trainer for agencies such as the Regional Organized Crime Information Center, International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (U.S. & Mexico), various correctional associations, various probation / parole agencies, U.S. Deputy Warden's Association, Great Lakes Gang Investigators Association and more.
She is the published author of various freelance articles as seen in PI Magazine, Somos Primos, Staying Healthy, College Bound, and many more. She is the author of Written Violence - the Personality Behind the Pen, Answers! and The Only Handwriting Analysis Book You Will Even Need. Some of her former experience includes working as a correctional officer, academy instructor, field training officer, private investigator, fugitive recovery officer and a field supervisor for a national investigative agency.
She has completed casework for Streetcats International, 4theKids, Lost Child Network and Missing & Exploited Children. She has also completed casework on threat assessments, employee screening and theft, profiling of famous cases including Darlie Routier, Scott Peterson, Michael Jackson and the Ramsey ransom note as well as forgeries, violence assessment, lie detection, murder, kidnapping and more. She also specializes in identifying the 'progression of suicide' over minutes, days, weeks, months, and years to help provide closure to loved ones via psychological autopsies. She has testified in court and has worked internationally. In addition, she recently assisted a writer for the popular CBS show Criminal Minds for a segment called "A Higher Power" about the handwriting of suicide notes. The episode airs on April 9, 2008.
Some of her most memorable cases include (1) assisting the Glendale Heights Police Department when she told a woman her husband could brutally murder her and approximately a year later - he did; (2) when she stated that a sheriff deputy in Ohio was dangerous, very aggressive and not trustworthy - three years later he moved to Wisconsin and killed his girlfriend; (3) when she stated that a homicide investigator in Mississippi was dangerous, deviant, and could not be trusted with children. A year later he was charged with multiple counts of Child Molestation in which he was convicted of six counts. Forensic Files has shown an interest in these cases. Yet another memorable case was when she was interning at a juvenile group home, one of the kids claimed that his wallet was stolen. Treyce instructed everyone to write "I did not steal [his] wallet". Within hours she found that the boy had hidden his own wallet because he did not want to pay restitution.
Aside from casework and training, in 2006 she was the pioneer of a program for the State of Texas (backed by members of the Legislative branches and the Juvenile Probation Commission). The program was aimed at reducing juvenile recidivism rates via Handwriting Formation Therapy. Treyce was the creator of the Handwriting Formation Therapy program back in 1987. There are many private individuals who have changed their life with this therapy (including her over 20 years ago). This program is largely successful because the clients can remain 100% anonymous. While handwriting analysis is not new within history, this HFT program is the first in history to be introduced in a correctional setting. This project was her dream in 1998 and she is proud to be the pioneer of this program. Every juvenile that completed the program successfully increased their social skills, academic grades, and family relationships. To-date, none of them have reoffended. She hopes to introduce this into other settings as well such as domestic violence, addictions, adult prisons, and more.
She is currently in graduate school studying Forensic Psychology, is a member of the National Scholar’s Honor Society, and various law enforcement and psychology associations. She is also studying for her certification as a Reverse Speech Analyst and is interested in Past Life Therapy, Holistic Healing, Psychic Counseling, and Animal Communication. Treyce has also worked as a crisis counselor for the Severely Mentally Ill population. Treyce can be reached at Treyce@Treyce.com
